One of those places is Aritaya Ryokan, a traditional family-run inn located in Togura Kamiyamada Onsen.

Our story began more than 110 years ago, when the first owner traveled from Saga Prefecture to Nagano selling Arita porcelain.

That journey eventually led to the creation of our small ryokan in this peaceful hot spring town.

Even today, that connection to Arita porcelain remains an important part of our inn.

When you enjoy a meal at Aritaya Ryokan, the dishes are served on beautiful Arita-yaki porcelain, continuing the tradition that started our story more than a century ago.

For four generations, our family has welcomed travelers here.
